    At crissy field today–the blue ocean, a red tile roof and a shadow of a palm tree. Brilliant light after yesterday’s deluge. As I began to draw the feeling of being there–a map emerged.

    from my kids. This started as a response to the previous day’s drawing and then I let them draw on top of it. It feels loose and unexpected–and was a good lesson in letting go for me. (And they had a great time drawing in mommy’s sketchbook!)
