    I feel as if I am in a no-man’s land between drawing and painting. I want to be working with big clumps of things, the general, larger action, not the tiny details. I am wrestling with this idea and how it relates to my materials.

    Got a dispensation to leave the chaos of dinner-bath-and-bed and headed up to Buena Vista Park to draw the hill. It was a beautiful day in San Francisco today.
