stomach flu has come and thankfully gone!

An unseasonable heat wave made heirloom tomatoes seem like the right thing to buy at the store yesterday.

Came home from our weekend in portland last night to the most wonderful houseguest and sister, in town for “she’s geeky.” The figs and flowers were only part of the homecoming; there was a chicken roasting in the oven with onions and apples and the most delicious brie cheese, perfectly ripe and delectable. We have until wednesday, so much fun!
